Orientation Workshops

 

    • EOC Orientaion Workshop forVisually Impaired Students from Satyawati College.
    • An Orientation Workshop on the various facilities provided by EOC for students with disabilities was organized at the DU-NTPC Resource centre. Many of their suggestions regarding conversion of books into other accessible forms were forwarded to the Braille Library. Eighteen visually impaired students from Satyawati college participated in the workshop.

    • Orientaion Workshop for students who have appeared for XIIth board exams on the facilities available for PwD students at the University of Delhi.
      • JPM School for the Blind.A batch of fourteen PwD students from JPM School for the Blind, who have appeared for their XIIth class exams, attended the workshop to learn about the facilities available for the disabled students at the University of Delhi. Dr C. Nisha Singh, Officer on Special Duty at the EOC,  explained to them the procedure for admission into the University and Mr. Prashant Verma, ex-Manager of EOC, briefed them about the various assistive devices and resources available for them at the Centre. The students were also told about the various short term courses available at the Centre. Date: April 8, 2010. Venue: Conference Room, DU-NTPC Centre.

    • Sensitisation Workshop for Resource Teachers.
        • Date: 8th -9th June, 2010. Venue: Conference Room, DU-NTPC Centre
    • Workshop of Subject Group Committees for Preparing Reading List.
    • The EOC conducted a special workshop with 41 subject specialist teachers drawn from various colleges who will act as subject specialists for finalising the list of e-texts to be made available to undergraduate students of the university.Date: 10th June, 2010. Venue: Conference Room, DU-NTPC Centre
