Sports Meets
- CHESS TOURNAMENT.
- The Equal Opportunity Cell, University of Delhi holds special events as part of its pledge to contribute to the sports and cultural activities for students with disability. The very first effort in this direction was celebrated by holding a Chess Tournament on February 27 and 28, 2010 at SRCC for blind students which where students participated in large numbers. Dr. Sudarshan Pathak, Director, Sports, University of Delhi, Dr. P C Jain, Principal, SRCC, and Dr. K. C. Pande, Director, BRA, were the honoured guests at the Chess Tournament. Date: Feb 27 & 28 , 2010 .Venue:SRCC.
- 1st Delhi University Equal Opportunity Cell Sports Meet.
- An Athletic Meet on March 6 and 7, 2010 at Lakshmibai College Grounds was held as a grand success of the efforts of the EOC. Nearly 150 students with various disabilities from 35 colleges and Departments participated in the two events. The important guests to grace the occasion of the Athletic Meet were: Vice Chancellor, Prof. Deepak Pental, Padmashree G.S. Randhawa, Padmashree Mahabali Dronacharya Satpal, Dy. Director, Sports, Delhi Government, Shri. T. D. Dhariyal, Dy. Chief Commissioner, Disability, Dr. Karuna Kaushik, Principal, Lakshmibai College.Date: March 6 & 7 ,2010. Venue: Lakshmibai College Grounds.
